D.Ross was raised in Richmond, California. On the surface, his story is like most you have heard before… he spent his early years in poverty, having little to no resources; and growing up no stranger to the struggle and hardships of the hood. With effortless articulation, D. Ross “fills in the blanks” and tells the pieces of the tales that the media neglects to reveal. He speaks through poetic verse on topics concerning family, daily hardships, society, economics, and politics; this lyricist is gifted with the ability to metaphorically simplify complex world problems so that most can relate, and all can understand.
